Womens Shoe Sizes

November 23, 2008 - Tag: Uncategorized - No Feedbacks (0)

Hello Linda, thank you for a very interesting question.

Denae, how do I learn European sizes in Womens Shoes?

Linda, here is a simple tip for determining what size shoe you wear, in the newest Designer….European styles which are so popular now (many found at Nordstroms).

You simply add 31 to your Womens American shoe size if you’re a size 9 or below and 32 if you’re a size 10 or above. Try it, it works every time! I love the questions, keep them coming!

Monday Night Television, Great Place To Purchase Clothing

November 21, 2008 - Tag: Uncategorized - No Feedbacks (0)

Hello All.

I love to watch, every Monday night television, QVC Style. Their host, Lisa Roberts, has chosen one hour of her favorite tops, pants, jewerly and shoes. They have ALL sizes from Misses to Womens. You can check their size chart, given on air or go to their web site before.  Even, if you don’t purchase anything…it is both entertaining and educational to see how their stylist… have put together the lastest wardrobe stlyes with accessories. And, they show the clothing on a short model, a tall thin model and a Womens 1X model.

Don’t be afraid to purchase, you simply give them a credit card, and they ship to whatever address you want. Their returns are very simple, I always promise myself, I will put any item I don’t like…. back in the bag, put the return sticker on the outside, and put it in my car..so the next time I am out I can simply drop it off for mailing. If you take the item out of the bag, try it on, and if you don’t like it or need a different size…at that very moment…put it back in the bag with the return sticker asap. This is the key to learning to shop with QVC and not keep unwanted items.

Now, the sizes are wonderful. As many of you will need a larger top than bottom..they offer Womens 14 up for larger size tops and Misses smaller size ..for your skirts, pants or jeans. They have bracklets in extra large and their rings go up to size 11 or 12 and shoes in Wide to side 13.  It is a fun hour with beautiful clothing, and a drop dead beautiful hostess who has a silly humor. It is her hour to ”teach” wardrobe and what to wear, and what accessory to wear. All you have to do, is call them from you phone and pick the color and size.  So, tune it and begin learning   fashion terms, and see all the ways to change an outfit…with belts, boots, etc. on 3-4 different size models.

I know their prices are excellent. Like WalMart marketing…they get their vendors down in price due to their high volumn of customers…and they get much better prices than in a retail store, plus they will have ALL sizes and ALL colors when you call. You have 30 days to return any purchase..for a full refund. Or, they ship out another size and or color, if you need a different fit/size.All you pay, is shipping…which is generally about $5.00 on clothing and if it is difficult for you to go into a store, or…if you’re like me…you don’t have a lot of time to shop through racks of clothing….this is such a great way to see, learn, and shop……..as long as you promise yourself to ship anything back…if it doesn’t fit.  Again, I make myself…put it in the bag…right then with the return sticker and I put it in my car.  Don’t worry about using your male voice, they don’t ask who this is for.

So, tune in on  Monday nights… Its “girls night” instead of Monday night football! Come on over to Monday night girls night!!

Your Facial Skin, Determines How Natural Your Make-up Looks

November 16, 2008 - Tag: Uncategorized - No Feedbacks (0)

Hello Ladies,

I have found, getting the old layers of skin removed from our face…is the # 1 most important thing…you can do (at home) to have a more beautiful face. We have 7 layers of skin. Many CD’s have never gotten that first layer of  DEAD skin off, from all the years of being in the sun. Answer? I have been exfoliating my skin…simply put…a way to remove the dead skin for a healthier, younger appearance. Many products are good, and you can visit a spa for better results… but I recently found a small hand piece used at home that removes the dead skin from your face, arms, legs, leaving you much smoother skin after your first treatment.  This is the best product I have ever used, and it has replaced my going to a skin salon paying $125.00 for EACH treatment. I am really excited to have this, at home, to use a few times a week….taking years off your face, neck, chest, breasts, arms, legs.

If any of you, are having difficulty with obtaining a “no heavy makeup look” or to help calm your skin down after beard removal treatments…this will be a wonderful product for you also.  I am getting the details now,  who has the best hand-held machine and products and after my research…I will give you more details where you can purchase this. Lets get the dry skin off…for Feb/March Spring months!

Lipstick ~ The Best Selling Item in Nov 2008

November 15, 2008 - Tag: Uncategorized - No Feedbacks (0)

I was reading… with the economy being down…that women are buying beauty items, to make them feel better. Lipstick, for example has gone up over 13%– and not the low-end lipstick..but the top end.  All makeup sales are UP! Seems, we girls still want to feel good about how we look!

I thought you would find this interesting, also!

WEN Shampoo and Conditioner

November 14, 2008 - Tag: Uncategorized - No Feedbacks (0)

My hair stylist, recently suggested I start using the new shampoo and conditioner, WEN.   It has NO soap, and it does not have the suds you’re use to while scrubbing your head in the shower.  You wash your hair with cold water for about 1 min. Apply about 15 pumps of Wen to your hair while you continue your shower. Leave it on for 5 mins and wash out.

I will never put soap  on my hair again!  You will see results within a month. Great for all types of hair. You can simply go to their web site, or goggle Wen. Pick the one… for your hair type…dry, oily, or frizzy. If you like, they have a Styling Lotion and a Palm you can apply. But, just begin with the Shampoo/Conditioner.  Everyone in your family will love it!!

It works, and you will never again have soap hurting and drying out your hair!

Halloween Costumes–Which Come In Larger Sizes

October 22, 2008 - Tag: Uncategorized - No Feedbacks (0)

Hi Jenny,  thank you for your email. I have researched Halloween costumes for you.

Yes there are some Halloween costumes in sizes… larger than 12-14. For those CD’s who still like to go out to Halloween parties,  herewith a web site with costumes with extra room on top…. and most cost  under $55.00! They  have some very, feminine looks! Why waste time shopping for a costume too tight to move in? Find something flattering, comfortable and every bit as exotic.

Trick or Treat! Denae

Spray On Blush

October 18, 2008 - Tag: Uncategorized - No Feedbacks (0)

I recently tried a new product on the market, a “spray on blush”. It contains mositurizer which helps to blend…using a sponge. You can try this, or perhaps, use a cream blush. I have found, for skin over 40…always put a small amount of  lotion, on a sponge and then apply your liquid foundation. For the TG woman, both the mositure and the sponge, helps in covering large pores, and works well gliding over any facial hair….and it helps give better coverage… espacially if used with a “thicker” foundation. (which is used for women with “dry” skin).

Since, cool weather is here, most of our sun tans will begin to fade out, so you may want to “lighten” your foundation over the next cooler months. Be sure and cover your chest, to prevent the tan-line caused by the open collar shirt worn  in guy mode. Again, this lighter shade of foundation should blend  from your face on your chest area…. to blend into one color. I love Lancombe foundation, and any retail store is excellent with helping you find the correct shade. Oct is the best month, for going into retail stores and asking for help…if you are a beginner.

Any Halloween parties? Send photos! Thank you for all your individual emails. I do answer most of them, and do not post them on this blog! Have a great weekend, Denae

Denae’s Personal Closet

October 16, 2008 - Tag: Uncategorized - Feedback (1)

Hello Ladies. I followed my own advise and took everything out of my closet, that I no longer wear. I have “lots” of evening gowns…which I wear to genetic girl pageants, and to tg conferences. I have several evening gowns, which I have worned once, and can’t wear again…due to photos being taken. If any of you are interested in purchasing one of these gowns…I will discount them by 50%. I have many of them, on my web site in the photos. They range from size 10 to 12. I will clean them, and ship them, and again they have been worned only for an event. If you’re interested, please email me at denaedoyle@femimage.com  You can see, many of the gowns….by clicking on the PHOTO button. I purchased most of them from Nordstroms and Macy’s and one designer gown that was priced at $1,200.00   Gowns are in: Black, Cream, Dark Blue, Tuxedo gown (worn on my front page), Teal gown with head piece, brown fitted, black beaded cocktail, long black beaded cocktail.

Someone else should be wearing these gowns….once is not enough! http://www.femimage.com  PHOTO

What Style Winter Blouse For You?

October 16, 2008 - Tag: Uncategorized - No Feedbacks (0)

Finding the best style feminine blouse, for the tg woman (who has a tummy) can be difficult to locate. And, wearing a waist cincher can be un-comfortable. Try the new longer tunics, in a Womens Style. (The Womens Style are larger in the waist and arms, thus giving your a curvy look in hip pads). I find, the longer tunics are just perfect for most tg women, simply add a pair of slim fitting jeans (many of you can wear the Misses size in jeans since you have smaller hips) with the longer Womens size tunic top…and you’re good to go. If you have a small waist (36, 38) try belting your tunic top. Or, wear dark leggings with the long tunic top, and a pair of boots!
(Don’t  be afraid to go into the Womens Dept for your tops. The Womens 14, for example, is about 1 inch wider in the shoulders, arms and waist than the smaller Misses size– and will fit you much better than the standard Misses 14–while still giving you a thin look. So, try on some Womens tops, but do find one that is tapered in, so you don’t look boxy. The Tunic top will end at the top or middle– of your thigh. Tunic Sweaters for winter are also wonderful, to hide the tummy area.  Look For  Blouses in Womens Siloutetts–they offer many great styles!   Denae
