Denae’s Recipe For The Perfect Fit ~ For TG Sizing Of Breast Forms and Hip Pads
Denae’s Recipe For The Perfect Fit ~ For TG Sizing Of Breast Forms and Hip Pads
Tg’s must measure themselves differently, than a genetic female, therefore the typical size chart for clothing, must be changed for tg’s to find the perfect fit.
Here is my recipe for that perfect fit.
Start with the measurement you cannot change much. For most tgs, that will be your waist size. Measure it at the narrowest point. Or where you bend to the side. If you are planning on wearing a corset or waist reducer, make sure you are wearing it before making the measurement.
Once you have that measurement, consult any ”Size Chart” from your favorite catalog or ladies Internet site. (Select Misses clothing which is generally up to size 16 and then Women’s clothing chart for wider, longer sizes from 16W to 24W up.
Find the size that comes closest to your waist size. If in-between, go up to the larger size. You will be grateful after a few hours. Here is a typical size chart. Remember Misses clothing are even numbers. For many tg’s they require larger sizes, which is a Woman’s (W). (Juniors (J) are odd sizes for younger thin sizes and Petite (P) is for shorter females 5”4 and under.
You will probably wear a Misses bottom (skirt or pants) and a larger Woman’s top for blouse and jacket size. Some stores, such as JC Penny’s will have a Tall size hart.
*Note: Below is a Misses Size Chart that goes to size 20 to show L and XL t-shirts and stretch blouses.
Okay, now find your waist size in the below chart.

If your waist is 33, then you will be a size 16 (at least with this company, others may vary).
Hence your bust size (the measurement around the fullest part, not your bra size) should be 41″ and hips should be “43″
Now for tg’s to select a bra size, measure the area around the chest immediately above the breast area. Lets say its 39″. This is your bra size. Again round up if you have an odd number. Don’t follow genetic female sites, which say to measure under the breast; this is the difference for TG measuring.
The difference between your bust size (41) and chest size (39) will be your cup size. The formula is:
1″ = A cup
2″ = B cup
3″ = C cup
4″ = D cup
5″ = DD cup
Hence for this example, 41-39 = B cup.
Now can always go up (or down) a cup size if you want. One cup size probably will not make much difference in how most clothes fit Two cups will make a big difference.
If you like large size breast forms, just realize finding a “fit” will be very difficult, and many times not look as natural. Your best answer for larger breasts forms, is buying separate blouses in a larger size. Look for no buttons or zippers, and perhaps a stretch fabric on the top. If you’re going full time, it is better to stay closer to sizing charts, for easy fitting and looking more proportionate for your height and waist size.

June 11, 2008 @ 12:06 amI wear size 10/12. sometimes a size 10 will fit for some dresses and sometimes they will fit too tight. Same with a size 12, perfect fit or too big. I definitly need help with my hip’s. I have none.
