I had to write to tell you what happened tonight. I went out as Laura to ask Nicole about help with my wig. On the way home, I decided to stop at a safe lounge I usually go to on Saturday nights. I took a seat next to a very pretty young blond girl. She started talking to me, so I decided to try some of the "girl talk" movements you had shown me. Using my shoulders, hands, and generally being a little more animated. Well, it worked so fantastic, I couldn't believe it. Within a few minutes, she was doing the same to me. We were like a couple of girls talking at school. Giggling and basically just having a great time. She was talking to me about trouble with her ex and when I said I was recently divorced too, she said, "Men can be such pigs. They think just because we're GIRLS that they can walk all over us." We kept talking like a couple of longtime girl friends. I know I'm not that pretty a girl, but by using the feminine gestures and movements, as well as trying to use a feminine voice, she accepted me as just another girl. I felt like I was totally blending in. Which you might remember is what I'm trying to achieve as a new CD. I had so much fun chit chatting and just having fun being more animated.
